Programs and Services

The Overton Institute offers a wide variety of programs, all based on the Relational Communication Program and the theology of the unconditional love of God. Consistent with The Institute’s mission, programs and services are designed to accomplish a three-fold objective: Affirmation, Education, Proclamation. Informed by its theology, the organization’s philosophy necessitates that:

    1. We affirm the inherent value of every human being, endowed upon each of us by our Creator through the act of creation.

    1. We offer education programs and counseling services that facilitate awareness, understanding, and development of satisfying, fulfilling relationships that will enrich all of life. And,

    1. Through our programs and services we proclaim the good news of the unconditional love of God for all of creation, a love which calls us to love self and others unconditionally, and to treat self and others accordingly.

In order to meet our objectives, The Overton Institute offers classes, workshops, and retreats that include training in effective communication skills and conflict management, wellness, team building, diversity training, and spiritual development — all based on the theology of the unconditional love of God. We offer behavioral health and pastoral counseling services by licensed professionals, for individuals, couples, families and groups, and consultation for congregations and civic organizations.
